When you are selling you want your property to be marketed to all potential buyers in the best ways possible. Some of the marketing things I do are the same across the board. These include yard sign with flier box for those potential buyers who may actually drive by your house. My fliers include enough information to interest the potential buyer and make them want to call and ask for more information so that I can encourage them to further explore your property. The flier may include some interior photos, an aerial photo map or other things that make your property special. Marketing will also include direct contact with specific buyers due to a particular aspect of your property. Of course your property will be available to everyone in the world via the internet. My website listings have interior and exterior photos, plat and location maps, mortgage calculators on the listing page and much more useful information. I also advertise locally in both the Athens News and the Athens Messenger. Each of these newspapers reach a different demographic and I will use whichever is more likely to find a buyer for your property, possibly both. After working for other brokers for about 15 years, I decided to become a broker and open Dave Hoisington Realty in October 2007. Now I have the autonomy to do what's best for my client. I will negotiate to help my buyer get the deal they need to realize their dream of home ownership. I will negotiate for my seller client to help them get the best possible price when selling. I was the first in the area to receive the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation. I have received the Ohio Association of REALTORS President's Sales club award each of the last 8 years. I was President of the Athens County Board of REALTORS for two terms as well as Treasurer for two terms prior to being president.

I specialize in representing my clients in the purchases and sales of single-family residences and investment property primarily in Athens County. Personal
I was born in Athens and am proud to call it my home. I have coached and sponsored youth sports. I support many local charities including Good Works, John W. Clem Recovery house, Habitat for Humanity, Campus Crusade for Christ, Relay for Life and many others. I am an avid Ohio sports fan as well as supporting academics and the arts at Ohio University. I started at OU as a photography major and still enjoy photography. My wife, Liz, is a first grade teacher at The Plains Elementary and we have a son Tyler who will likely be the smartest rock star ever (unbiased as I am). I enjoy motorcycling and golf when I have time. | |
